Radar from M*A*S*H

"You are like Corporal Walter Eugene "Radar" O'Reilly. You love animals and more often then not consider their company better than that of humans. You love your family and the values you have learned growing up. You are what some would call a goody-two-shoes. You look up to people with a strong personality and while outwardly timid you have a very strong personality as well. You are often soft spoken but when pushed to the edge can be just as hard edge as the next guy, but that just doesn't happen very often."

I don't know if you've ever watched M*A*S*H, but I have to tell you- Radar is without doubt my favorite character (followed closely by HawkEye, and then Trapper). He's the quiet, friendly, mischievous, caring, & funny type of guy! I love how he got his nickname Radar (knowing when the choppers with injured soldier were coming in- before anyone else.).

It's funny how you can find characters in movies, shows, books, etc. that seem so much like you that you sympathize with them & and yet so different! =)

I'm only in the first Season, but I am loving watching M*A*S*H!! =)

Smile ♥

Keep On Smiling

© Alexandra Skiathitis

If at times you feel you want to cry.
And life seems such a trial.
Above the clouds there’s a bright blue sky
So make your tears a smile.

As you travel on life’s way
With its many ups and downs
Remember it’s quite true to say
One smile is worth a dozen frowns.

Among the worlds expensive things
A smile is very cheap
And when you give a smile away,
You get one back to keep.

Happiness comes at times to all
But sadness comes unbidden
And sometimes a few tears must fall
Among the laughter hidden.

So when friends have sadness on their face
And troubles round them piled
The world will seem a better place
And all because you smiled.

Going in and Out Empty Handed Poem

Going in and out empty handed

Everything provided for in the game
Equally true for the battle of the earth
All things bright and beautiful,
big and small, tall and short
Ready for the taking

Looking up seeing the stars, bright and beautiful
Looking down seeing the earth, dressed to the nines
With all things bright and beautiful
The ugly dominated by the shadows
Only to brighten up by the bright of day
With nothing changed but very true to origin

Time to sow and reap wide like the goal posts
All roads leading to Rome in the picking
But the race measured by will and reluctance
By the vintage point some outstrip all
Amassing wealth beyond believe
Some lost the race by the fall of the candle

Lord of the Dance- Pure Inspiration ♥

~Lord of the Dance~

I used to watch it all the time. It got to the point I could hum every scene, and re-enact some of the dances ( or so my little kid self thought ;) ). I remember laying a quilt my Mom made for me on the floor in our living room, in front of the TV. I would then turn the lights off, the TV on, and play the Lord of the Dance. I would dance- on my quilt- but only on certain colors, or shapes and only at certain musical notes, and try to mimic the dancers on the show. It was so much fun! =)

Yet other times, I would sit there quietly- again in the dark, with just the show on, and I would just watch. Sometimes I would smile. or sometimes I would cry at just how beautiful it was.

I was really little the first time I remember crying to it. I don't know why I was crying then. Maybe I saw it for what it is- Beauty. I've always wanted to be able to tell a story from the way I sing, dance, or play an instrument. Lord of the Dance has all of that in it.

To me, Lord of the Dance is more than just a show. It's inspiration. Motivation. Determination. Beauty. Natural. Emotion. Hope.

When I feel low on inspiration, it gives me hope that maybe, if I work at it hard, if I have enough determination, motivation, and the right inspiration, that I can make a great work of art like that. Help people hear my story without actually telling them all the words along the way.

I'm posting a couple videos of scenes in it. I hope they inspiring you, and move you like they do me...

Happy watching ♥
